Make Palestine Present: Solidarity with Palestine!!!
This Tatreez pin symbolizes a shared commitment to decolonization and the fight for justice, uniting all communities facing colonization and marginalization. Just as our work supports marginalized voices and strives to dismantle systems of oppression, we must also include Palestine in this effort. Let’s elevate our sector’s response beyond calls for peace and understanding! It’s time for intentional dialogue within our organizations, creating safe spaces for us to discuss Palestine freely without fear of repercussion.
Tatreez is a traditional form of Palestinian embroidery, passed down through generations as a form of cultural expression and resilience. Each stitch carries the stories and history of the Palestinian people. Wearing this pin is not just a gesture of support; it’s a commitment to standing against colonization, genocide, and systemic racism, wherever they occur. Visible cues like wearing a pin are important because they publicly show solidarity, spark conversations, and signal to others that Palestine’s struggle is seen, supported, and part of the broader fight for justice.
Vocal and visual displays of support and solidarity is what Palestinians need the most right now. It's crucial to properly cast off the imposed veil of silence befalling the impact sector and shift narratives. Wearing this pin isn’t just a gesture—it’s a necessary visible stand against colonization, genocide, and systemic racism. In our sector, these visible cues are crucial for showing solidarity, sparking conversations, and making support for Palestine part of the broader fight for justice.
We invite you to wear this pin with pride and purpose. You don’t have to be Palestinian to support Palestine—allyship is about standing for justice wherever it’s needed. If you care about racial justice, Indigenous rights, and decolonization, we call on you to include Palestine in your work and uphold the values we all share.
Pins will be available for PICKUP soon, at stations in Toronto and Montreal!!

Fund Managers
Build Moral Oversight Processes: Establish a framework for moral oversight and reporting that aligns with shareholder values, but also introduces them to new issues and challenges them.
Embrace the Challenge: Integrating ethical criteria into investment decision-making is new for many in the sector. By enhancing your team's skills in ethical analysis, you also bolster their capacity to advocate for divestment.
Create a Living List: Develop a living and collaborative document outlining conduct and products shareholders find objectionable, allowing for iterative refinement through collaboration. This will allow you to keep track of range of issues instead of just ticking the box when it comes to ethical issues.
Exclude Unethical Entities: Start removing companies with ethical concerns from the investable list, emphasizing the link between governance, ethics, and investability.
Seek Guidance and Collaboration: Leverage external expertise and resources, like the Palestine Impact Collective, to navigate ethical investing journeys effectively, acknowledging that it's a continuous learning process requiring evolution and adaptation.

Integration of Palestine and Anti-Palestinian Racism: Ensure discussions on anti-racism, equity, and justice include considerations of Palestine and anti-Palestinian racism. This includes challenging false equivalencies and arguments that conflate anti-Zionism with anti-semitism.
Centre the voices of IBPOC (Indigenous Peoples, Black Peoples and Peoples of Color) leaders, including Palestinian, Indigenous, and Jewish voices, in discussions on equity.
Addressing Funding Disparities: Recognize and address the barriers faced by equity-deserving groups, including those affected by Anti-Palestinian sentiment, in accessing funding and resources.
Outside of a Professional Setting
Continue to be Informed: Stay informed about the ongoing situation in Palestine, including the history, current events, and human rights violations. Questioning the ways we are supporting the Occupation will be uncomfortable at points.
Boycott: Participate in boycotts of companies, products, and institutions that support or profit from the Occupation of Palestine. This can include boycotting Israeli goods produced in illegal settlements, divesting from companies complicit in human rights abuses in Palestine, and supporting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Prioritize Palestinian Voices and organizations: Donate time, money, or resources to organizations working directly with Palestinian communities, providing humanitarian aid, legal assistance, education, healthcare, and other essential services.
